Zen and the Art of West Coast Swing is a cumulative DVD of a series of classes that have been taught all over the country over the last several years by Instructor Jim Minty. It doesn't give you any new moves but it does provide exercises and practice ideas for creating connection with any partner. The theory is dance style independant and VERY effective with West Coast Swing. It's about trying to naturally use your and your partner's energy smoothly while creating magic on the dance floor.
Jim read a book titled "Zen and the Art of Anything". It talked a lot about your center, breathing and core and whatdaya know... We need that in our dancing. So Jim took that concept and developed one of the most popular workshops on how to "learn to feel the dance" as opposed to trying to do it.
